Once in the Import workflow, follow these steps:
Selecting File to Import
Ensure that 'Email' is selected on the toggle and click Browse Files
Select your file then click Next.
Map Data
My file does not have a header: Leave this unchecked if your file has a header row (i.e. row 1 has column names like "Email")
Update existing contact records: Leave this checked, unless you want to the import to only add new contacts and not update existing contacts
Map Columns: Map the fields from your CSV file (left-hand column) to Delivra fields (right-hand) column
Leave all "Update" boxes checked unless there are fields in your CSV that you want Delivra to ignore during the import
Define Import Rules
- Import Action: The default option is recommended unless you're doing a special import (e.g., updating contact statuses).
- Ignore Blank Fields on Update: Check this to avoid overwriting existing data with blank values.
- Allow Only Updates: Check to only update existing contacts; entries with new email addresses will be ignored.
- Report Held and Unsubscribed Addresses: This creates an error file listing contacts not updated due to Held or Unsubscribed status (enabled by default).
- Create New Tag: Create a tag for imported contacts (you’ll have the option to name it).
- Assign to Tags: Add imported contacts to one or more existing tags.
Finally, click import at the bottom of your screen when you are ready
