Can I link an outside subscribe form to my account?

Using External Forms to Add Contacts to Delivra

If you prefer to build a form outside of Delivra—whether by using another platform, custom development, or embedding it on your own site—you can still automatically transfer new subscriber data into your Delivra account. Several options are available to connect your external forms without manual input.

Options for Connecting an External Form to Delivra

1. Build and Export a Delivra Form

The simplest and most recommended method is to:

  • Create the form directly in Delivra (Assets > Forms).

  • Export the provided form code.

  • Embed this code into your website, landing page, or other platform.

This ensures seamless integration and full support from our team if you need assistance.

2. Set Up an API Connection

If you need a completely custom solution:

  • Have your IT team or developer set up an API connection between your external form and Delivra.

  • Use the Member Service in our API to programmatically add contacts who submit the form.

This provides flexibility but requires technical expertise.

Note: Documentation for our API is available through the Delivra API Portal.

3. Connect Using a Third-Party Tool (e.g., Zapier)

You can use third-party tools like Zapier to automate the connection between your external form and Delivra:

  • Set up a "Zap" to capture form submissions and send them into your Delivra account.

  • Delivra does not charge for Zapier integrations. However, Zapier might charge based on the form service you are using.

This method is user-friendly and typically doesn't require coding skills.

4. Create a Shell Form in Delivra

As a hybrid approach:

  • Build a basic form ("shell form") in Delivra, containing all the fields you need.

  • Allow your website developer or third party to style and embed it as needed.

Important: If the form's HTML code is modified, our Support Team's ability to troubleshoot potential issues may be limited.

Our Recommendation

For the easiest, most supportable integration, we recommend building your form entirely in Delivra. This ensures that your form is fully functional, easily maintained, and backed by our Support Team.

Best Practices and Tips

  • Test before going live: Always verify that new submissions are correctly reaching your Delivra account.

  • Secure API connections: If using API, ensure secure transmission of subscriber data.

  • Monitor Zapier tasks: If using Zapier, check task histories periodically to catch any failures.
