How can I put the unsubscribe link at the top of a mailing?

You can easily add an unsubscribe link anywhere in your email design inside the email editor. Follow the steps below to create an unsubscribe link at the top of your email design.

Before you begin

You may want to consider removing the default generated online version text link that appears at the top of sent campaigns if your goal is to add an unsubscribe link that appears to be in the header of your email.


To turn off the default online version text link go to Settings > Account > Settings. In the Sending section, uncheck the "Show online version link" box and Save.

Open your email template or campaign and navigate to the email designer. Add a new text block to the top of the email design. In this section, create a text hyperlink to unsubscribe.

Use this specific URL for the link, which includes all necessary merges to identify your account and recipient to properly unsubscribe them:

Notes

Adding an unsubscribe link anywhere is your email design does not automatically mean that the unsubscribe link can or should be removed from the footer of your emails.
