How to fix button with extra top-padding

Have you ever designed a great-looking email, only to find that when you view the preview, the buttons look totally off? If the height of the button in your email design is set to 1, you might see something like this:

Super frustrating. This happens because when the button's height is set lower than the text's height, the entire button gets distorted as it tries to balance itself out. Setting the height to around 30-40 pixels could resolve the problem, but personally, I find it easier to use the padding feature to style the width and height of the button. By setting the height to 0, you can apply padding without worrying about whether the height is large enough, regardless of the text size. However, if you still prefer using the height setting, I recommend starting at 30-40px for text sized at 16px and adjusting the height accordingly as the text size increases/decreases.

For those who are visual learners like me, I've created a video that demonstrates the best method for addressing this problem, which you can watch here. As always, don't hesitate to reach out to our support team if you'd prefer to hop on a call to discuss this in further detail.
