Important Notes

  • 10DLC Only: MMS sending is available exclusively for 10-digit long codes (10DLC). Shortcodes and toll-free numbers are not eligible for MMS messaging.

  • Delivra Air Only: MMS messaging is only available on the Delivra Air platform.

  • File Size Limit: Images and GIFs must be 1MB or smaller.

  • Credits Usage: Each MMS message costs 3 credits, compared to 1 credit for a standard SMS message.

  • Character Limits:

    • MMS messages that include only text can have up to 500 characters.

    • Including Unicode characters (like emojis) reduces the limit to 70 characters.

Best Practices and Tips

  • Optimize Image Size: Keep images under 1MB and in common formats like JPG, PNG, or GIF to ensure quick delivery and high quality.

  • Use Emojis Thoughtfully: Adding an emoji is a great way to grab attention, but remember it significantly lowers your character limit. Plan your messaging accordingly.

  • Preview Before Sending: Always preview your MMS to ensure the text and media display correctly across devices.

  • Clear Call to Action: Even with images and emojis, your main call to action should stay clear and easy to follow.

  • Stay On-Brand: Use images and messaging that align with your brand voice and maintain consistency across your marketing channels.

Practical Use Cases

  • Event Invitations: Send beautifully designed invitations directly to your contacts' phones.

  • Promotional Offers: Share limited-time discounts with an eye-catching image.

  • Product Launches: Announce new products using a GIF or dynamic visual.

  • Reminders and Confirmations: Enhance appointment reminders with relevant visuals, making them more memorable.
