What is the Shopify integration and what can it do?
Delivra integrates seamlessly with Shopify, a leading eCommerce platform. This integration lets you sync your store's order, customer, and checkout information with Delivra, allowing you to leverage this data in your email campaigns. Setting up the integration is straightforward and doesn’t require any technical expertise. Follow the steps below to connect your Shopify store with Delivra in under 10 minutes:
1. Create a Custom App in Shopify
- In your Shopify store, click the search bar at the top of the screen, search for "Build custom app," and select the first option.
- If prompted, click "Allow custom app development," then confirm by clicking "Allow custom app development" on the next screen.
- Click "Create App" and give your app a name—any name will do.
- Navigate to the Configuration page. Here, search for and enable these 5 read-only permissions:
- read_orders
- read_products
- read_fulfillments
- read_shipping
- read_customers
- Once all 5 permissions are selected, click "Install App" at the top-right of the screen.
- Click "Reveal token once" to generate your API token.
- NOTE: Save this token somewhere safe. You will NEVER be able to reveal it again.
2. Connecting Your Delivra Account to Shopify
- Log into your Delivra account
- This configuration is currently only accessible in the Legacy platform. If you are not in Legacy, then click the settings cog at the top-right and select 'Legacy'
- Click on the Settings cog at the top-right then click on Integrations
- Scroll to find the Shopify icon. If you see two Shopify options, select the one without the orange Zapier logo.
- Enter your shop’s URL and the API key you created and saved earlier, then click 'Next.'
- Decide what data you want to sync from Shopify to Delivra. All options are enabled by default, so only remove options that you don’t want to sync.
3. Creating the Commerce custom tables
- While still logged into Delivra in Legacy mode, click on the 'Contacts' dashboard.
- Click on 'Configuration' in the left side-panel.
- Click on 'Custom Tables.'
- Click 'Create Custom Table' at the top-right.
- Ensure that both 'Standard Table' and 'Commerce Table' are selected, then click 'Next.'
Congratulations! Your Shopify store is now integrated with Delivra, and you’re ready to engage your customers with timely, synced data
Common Questions:
- Where do I find my store URL?
- You can find your store URL at the top-left of most pages
- What do I do if I lose my secret key?
- You will need to configure a new sync. Shopify does not provide a way to recover the secret API key, and it can only ever be revealed once.
