Using Interactive Elements in Your Emails

Using Interactive Elements in Your Emails

Modern email marketing isn’t just about delivering messages—it’s about creating experiences. That’s why Delivra’s Air platform includes a growing suite of interactive, drag-and-drop elements designed to invite clicks, spark curiosity, and deepen engagement. These tools don’t require code or complexity—just creativity and a good understanding of what your audience responds to.

Here’s a look at the interactive elements currently available (and coming soon) in Delivra, and how each one inspires meaningful interaction.

Countdown Timer

Urgency drives action, and nothing conveys urgency like a ticking clock. With Delivra’s Countdown Timer, you can count down to a specific date and time—ideal for promotions, event reminders, or limited-time offers.

Choose from multiple styling options (circle, square, ring, or minimalist numbers) and set the timer to display in English, French, or Spanish. Whether you’re building excitement for a product launch or nudging contacts toward a deadline, countdowns add dynamic energy to your emails that’s hard to ignore.

Best for: Time-sensitive campaigns, product launches, event invites, flash sales

Video

Bring your message to life with embedded video—directly within your email. Delivra’s Video block makes it easy to drop in an MP4 video using a direct URL and instantly generate a thumbnail (or upload your own).

When supported by the recipient’s email client, the video plays inline; otherwise, the thumbnail acts as a fallback that links out to the video in a browser. You can even customize the thumbnail using built-in image editing tools, including stickers to add a play button.

Best for: Demonstrations, testimonials, announcements, visual storytelling

Add to Calendar

Help your audience follow through by making it easy to save the date. The upcoming Add to Calendar block will allow you to create pre-programmed calendar invites that work with major calendar platforms including Google, Outlook, Apple, and Yahoo. For everything else, there’s a downloadable .ics file.

It’s a no-fuss way to boost attendance for webinars, meetings, and events—right from the inbox.

Best for: Webinars, in-person events, release dates, appointments

Coming Soon: Progress Bars

Make progress feel personal. With the upcoming Progress Bar tool, you can visually show a contact how far they’ve come—toward a goal, a reward, or the next step in a journey. Pull data from their profile and display it using a linear bar, semicircle, or circular indicator.

This kind of visual feedback taps into motivation and accountability, making it a great choice for loyalty programs, onboarding, and applications.

Best for: Rewards programs, multi-step processes, customer onboarding

Coming Soon: Surveys and Polls

Sometimes the best way to engage your audience is to simply ask. The new Surveys and Polls tool (coming soon) lets you build inline surveys, polls, quizzes, or any other information-gathering interaction—all within your email.

It’s not just a tool for collecting insights—it’s a way to give your audience a voice, create two-way conversations, and personalize follow-ups based on responses.

Best for: Feedback collection, audience segmentation, customer research, interactive content

Delivra’s interactive elements are more than just eye-catching—they’re purposeful. Each tool is designed to invite participation, reward curiosity, and deepen relationships between marketers and their audiences. Whether you’re promoting a sale, gathering feedback, or guiding someone toward a goal, the right interactive element can help your email do more than just deliver—it can connect.
