You can upload many different image file types and other media files to the Media Library for hosting, but only image files can be inserted in your email designs created with our the drag-and-drop email editor.
Media files that are not images can be uploaded to Delivra & links can be created to those hosted files within your email content. For example, you can upload a PDF and link to it in your email for your readers to download.
Recommended image file types include:
Make sure you are checking your image file types & sizes before uploading them to the media library. For example, .svg, .tiff, .psd files are typically too large or not a supported file type.

Rolling banner or marquees
There are marquee editors that give you the code that you can add to websites. However, that code gets stripped out in both our drag and drop editor and HTML editor. Instead, we recommend you use an animated GIF. You will need to use an outside GIF creator and upload that GIF file into your media library.
Animated GIF
GIFs are supported in our editor. They work the same as uploading a normal image to the media library and inserting it into your content.
We recommend the file size not exceed 50 KB. The email will send fine if the GIF exceeds that file size however it will take a while to load for the contact.
Note that not every email client supports animated GIFs. Particularly older versions of Outlook (2007, 2010 and 2013) won’t show the animation at all. Instead, they will show the first frame. To overcome this, many email designers ensure that vital information—perhaps a call-to-action, offer, or headline—is included in the first frame of the GIF.
SVG graphics
The SVG, or Scalable Vector Graphics, file format is good for displaying two-dimensional graphics. They are saved on a vector format so they can be scaled to different sizes without loss of quality.
The SVG file format is not supported, meaning that a SVG file cannot be uploaded to the media library and used in the email designer.
Further, embedding SVG is inconsistent across different email platforms.
We recommend that if you want to use SVG files, you host the file in an outside source and link to it in your campaign or template.
Tips for hosting files in your Delivra account
- File size must not exceed 4MB.
- Multiple image file formats are accepted, however we recommend that you stick to jpg, jpeg, gif, png.
- svg, tiff, bmp, and psd files are not supported.
- File names must not include spaces or special characters, other than dash or underscore.
- File name character limit is 100.
- Avoid using image maps (HTML editor). Image maps are not supported in most email clients.
- Maximum image height & width is 800px (drag-and-drop editor).
Tip for hosting files externally
- Do not use image maps. Image maps are not supported in most email clients.
- Think twice before sourcing images with names that contain special characters. Not all email clients or browsers will interpret special characters in the same way. Some of your readers may see broken images.
