SMS Features Overview

You've decided to incorporate SMS into your marketing program. Fantastic! This article provides an overview of where you will find SMS features in your account. We recommend that you also checkout our SMS Quickstart guide to learn how to add SMS contacts and send SMS campaigns.


Contacts

View & Edit SMS Subscribers
In your Contacts dashboard you can view a list of all of your SMS subscribers including their full name, status, date joined, and more. 


Import SMS Contacts
When viewing your SMS subscriber list, use the Import SMS Contacts button to upload a CSV file of subscriber data.


View & Create SMS Segments
Under the Segments tab in your Contacts dashboard, you can view a list of your SMS segments. Or, use the Create SMS Segment button to create a new SMS Segment.


View SMS Import Details
Similar to CSV import reports for Email contacts, you can check import reports for SMS contact imports.




Campaigns

View Campaigns

You can view your SMS campaigns by their status or send date using the Search filter on the Campaigns dashboard page.


Send SMS Campaigns
Create & send SMS campaign from the Campaigns dashboard. Click the Create Campaign button, then choose SMS > type of SMS campaign.


Assets

Add SMS fields & your program keyword to Delivra forms to allow subscription to SMS notifications.

Automation

Start automations with SMS campaigns or SMS events (like subscribing) and/or incorporate SMS campaigns, actions , and conditions into your automations. 


SMS Actions & Conditions

Use these to create different journeys based on your contacts subscriptions and actions.

  1. Evaluate SMS contact data
  2. Subscribed to SMS

  4. Responded to SMS



Settings

Opt-In Messaging
Configure standard SMS responses for subscribers using their mobile device to opt-in, like welcome, opt-in confirmation, error messages, and more. Also, configure response handling for the Automation condition Responded to SMS.


Users & Roles

You will need to make sure you've given your account administrators permissions to access SMS features in your account. Note: Only site administrators or account administrators with permissions to manage users can update roles.
