You may have noticed that your list of contacts in your CSV import is significantly more that what ends up in a new tag created when importing. For example, there may be 2000 rows in an import but only 1000 contacts when viewing the subscribers in the tag.
There are a couple of important things to check for when this happens:
1. Check that there are no duplicates in the import file. This happens quite often and doesn't necessarily get mentioned when the import is done.
This can be done in excel or google sheets using conditional formatting and the formula =COUNTIF(A:A,A1)>1 to highlight duplicates or there is a data cleanup option in the data tab to remove duplicates entirely.
2. Check that the contacts imported are not already in Delivra and possibly unsubscribed or held.
You can also download the Error Report that is resulted when importing contacts.
