Using the Subscribed to SMS block
The Subscribed to SMS block is a condition block in Delivra automations that checks whether a contact’s email record is linked to an SMS subscription. This allows you to create tailored workflows for your SMS subscribers and non-subscribers.
How the Subscribed to SMS Block Works
When a contact passes through the block, the system evaluates their SMS subscription status. Email contacts with a linked SMS contact will proceed down the Yes route, and others will fall down the No route.
This simple check enables targeted messaging based on a contact’s SMS engagement.
Re-evaluate Functionality
The Re-evaluate option allows the block to monitor subscription status continuously while a contact remains in the step:
- Real-time Updates: If a contact opts into your SMS program after entering the block, they are immediately routed down the Yes path without waiting for the next automation step.
- This feature is ideal for reactive campaigns where you want to engage new SMS subscribers as soon as they sign up.
Practical Use Cases
- Exclusive Promotions for SMS Subscribers: Use the Yes path to send unique email promotions or notify SMS subscribers of exclusive offers.
- Encourage Non-subscribers to Join: Use the No path to send targeted messages highlighting the benefits of subscribing to your SMS program, such as early access to sales or special discounts.
- Immediate Engagement for New Subscribers: Leverage the Re-evaluate option to trigger an SMS welcome message as soon as a contact opts into your SMS list.
Best Practices
- Promote SMS Benefits: For non-subscribers, emphasize the value of joining your SMS program through clear messaging and compelling offers.
- Combine with Segmentation: Use this block alongside email engagement steps like Clicked Email Link to identify high-interest contacts and encourage SMS signups.
- Test SMS Offers: Create A/B tests for offers sent to SMS subscribers to optimize engagement rates.
- Use Re-evaluate for Time-sensitive Campaigns: Enable the Re-evaluate function for workflows where immediate communication with new SMS subscribers is a priority.
The Subscribed to SMS block is a straightforward yet powerful tool to integrate your SMS and email strategies, driving engagement and expanding your subscriber base seamlessly.
