FAQ

How do I customize the URL of my landing page?

Open your LP in the editor and navigate to the Info icon (right side).
Enter text in the Custom Host Filename.

How do I direct recipients of my email to a landing page to read the full story?

In your email designs you may sometimes want to include "teaser" paragraphs in the email body with links to the "full story" that will link to a special landing page, a page created on your website, or to a form to download a whitepaper. You have a variety of landing page options both inside and outside of Delivra's software. These are:

  1. A custom landing page built & hosted on your website. Note the page's URL and use that URL to create a hyperlink in your email design on a Read More button.

  2. A custom designed HTML file that is uploaded to your Media Library in Delivra for hosting. Similar to example #1, you will note the URL of the hosted file in Delivra and use that URL to create a hyperlink on a button in your email design.

  3. A form built in the Assets module of your Delivra account. We recommend using forms when you need to link to a page to collect more information, or update existing information for contacts receiving your email. You can create a direct link to a form in your email design.

  4. Build a Delivra landing page. Once the landing page is created (and published!), create a hyperlink to it in your email design. This process is much like creating a hyperlink to an external URL. The main difference is changing the type of the hyperlink to "Landing Page Form".

  1. Open your campaign or template in the editor.
  2. Click on the button you want to edit.
  3. On the right-hand panel, click Edit Link.
  4. In the pop-up, open the Hyperlink Type dropdown menu.
  5. Scroll and select Landing Page Form.
  6. Under Form Name, choose the landing page you want to link.
  7. Optionally, you can:
    1. Set a Tooltip (text that appears on hover)
    2. Assign a Link Reporting Name
    3. Adjust the link text color
  8. Click Insert to apply the changes.

How do I save a landing page as a template?

You can save landing page files as templates to use again in the future with a couple of clicks.
  1. From the Landing Page dashboard, hover over your LP file and click open the Edit drop-down menu.
  2. Select Save As Template.
  3. Provide a name for the template, choose the Destination Account (if applicable), and choose a storage folder in the Landing Page library (if applicable).
Note: The landing page file is not required to be in the Published status to save it as a template.

Can I upload my own HTML file to create a Landing Page?

Yes, you can design and upload your own HTML to create a Landing Page file in Delivra.
When you are creating a new landing page file, when choosing how to start the design, you will choose Upload HTML.
Note: If you create landing pages by uploading your own HTML files, your HTML code will be placed into a Code block & can only be edited as raw code view., you cannot edit uploaded HTML with our drag-and-drop designer.

If you need to make changes to the HTML code, you have a few options: a) edit the HTML code directly in our editor or b) copy & paste new HTML code into the existing section or c) click the "Restart Design" button to upload a new HTML file.
You may want to link a landing page to a subscribe or unsubscribe form for various reasons including a more brand friendly subscriber experience, giving the option to opt back in, to set expectations for new subscribers, or to provide a promised gated content piece like a whitepaper or study.  Before you begin, both the landing page and the form need to be created in your Delivra account and in the Published status.
  1. Open your form in the editor.
  2. Click on your Subscribe button.
  3. Scroll to the Button Link section of the button designer (right).
  4. Change Type to Landing Page
  5. Click the pencil icon to choose your LP file.

If I make changes to a Landing Page that is linked to my subscribe form, will those changes be automatically reflected?

Do you need to do anything to update the subscribe form code? Generally speaking, no.  The Landing Page is a hosted file in your account.  Landing Pages are associated with a form via hyperlink and it is not hard coded into the subscribe form code.  Layout, images, colors and other design changes can be made to the Landing Page in your account and will be reflected automatically.

If you created a new Landing Page file to replace the existing LP linked to your subscribe form, then yes, changes would need to be made to the subscribe button in your form to use the new file. And, you may also need to re-export the form code if it's being used on a website.

Notes on Landing Pages

Publishing: The landing page file is not required to be in the Published status to save it as a template, but any landing page that is intended to be used as a link in an email or assigned to the submit button of a form must be in the Published status.

LP templates: Customers with template repository accounts can save landing page templates to the template account so it will be available to all accounts. Change the "Destination Account" selection to "Template Account":

Availability: Landing pages are available at all licenses however some functionality will vary depending on your license. Landing page features, like dynamic content, vary based upon license. If you have questions, please contact Support or your Client Success Manager for assistance.
