Delivra’s Executive and Strategic Insight reports offer a visual, data-driven way for administrators to track email and subscriber performance across accounts. Currently available in Legacy, these customizable dashboards are on their way to Delivra Air soon!

Ideal for high-level trend analysis and multi-period comparisons, these reports live in the Analytics dashboard under Customer Overview. They’re especially useful for surfacing performance issues, identifying growth opportunities, and supporting strategic decision-making.

What Are Executive & Strategic Insight Reports?

These reports allow site administrators to build dashboards using visual widgets like graphs and charts. Rather than static data tables, Insight reports bring your metrics to life, giving you a clearer picture of what’s working—and what isn’t.
Key features include:
  • Customizable graph and chart selection
  • Time-based comparisons (e.g., year-over-year or month-to-month)
  • Dashboard-level configuration and saving
There are no default settings, so you'll be prompted to create your first widget when you access these reports for the first time.

How to Configure Insight Reports

To get started, go to Analytics > Customer Overview. Then:
  1. Choose either Strategic Insights or Executive Insights.
  2. Use the Insights to include dropdown to select the metrics you want to visualize (e.g., Subscriber Activity - Helds, Joins, Unsubscribes).
  3. Select the account(s) to include under Include activity from.
  4. Choose your Cycle Range: Yearly, Quarterly, Monthly, or Custom.
  5. Define the number of cycles you want to compare.
  6. Click OK to generate and save your dashboard view.
Example:
To see year-over-year subscriber activity:
  • Choose 'Helds', 'Joins', and 'Unsubscribes'
  • Set Cycle Range to 'Yearly'
  • Set Cycles to '2' to compare the last two years

Executive Insight Reports

This report type emphasizes top-level campaign metrics and cross-account comparisons. It’s great for broad performance summaries.

Available Graphs and Charts:

  • Top Activity by Account
  • Joins, Unsubscribes, Helds
  • Delivery Rate, Complaint Rate
  • Number of Mailings Sent
  • Open Rate, Clickthrough Rate
  • Overview Statistics (Emails Sent by Account and by Month)
  • Clickstreams/Purchases
  • Sharing Metrics
  • Most Engaging Mailings
  • Best/Worst Days for Email Marketing

Strategic Insight Reports

Strategic Insights focus more on campaign channel performance and subscriber activity patterns.

Available Graphs and Charts:

  • Subscriber Activity: Helds, Joins, Unsubscribes
  • Campaign Metrics: Regular, Triggered, Automated
  • Report Group Metrics
  • Email Volume
  • SMS Volume

Best Practices and Tips

  • Hover to explore: Mouse over widgets to rearrange, view the underlying data, or remove them.
  • Use cycles wisely: Cycle comparisons are a quick way to track trends like seasonality or growth.
  • Start broad, then go deep: Executive Insights help flag issues, while Strategic Insights help diagnose them.
  • Work together: Insights are saved to your dashboard and visible to other users with permission.

Key Notes

  • These reports are available by default to site administrators.
  • They can also be assigned to account administrators who have the Customer Overview Reports permission.
