The Mailing Compare report offers a simple way to visually and numerically compare the performance of two or more sent campaigns. This tool helps you quickly understand how different mailings performed by laying out their summary metrics side-by-side and providing a visual graph for Open and Click rates.
Users can select which mailings to compare using the blue Select Mailings button at the top right of the report screen. You can select either individual campaigns or organized Report Groups for easy comparison. Once selected, each mailing’s key metrics are displayed in a table, offering a clear snapshot of performance across campaigns.
The report table can show many summary metrics, including:
Campaign Title
FROM Address
Subject Line
Date Sent (Created)
Total Sends
Success Percentage
Click the blue Select Mailings button to choose individual mailings or grouped mailings (Report Groups) for comparison.
Use the Choose Fields button to customize which summary metrics are displayed in the report table. This flexibility allows users to focus on the metrics most important to their goals.
The Report Options button offers the ability to compare all mailings sent within a specific date range. This can be especially helpful for reviewing campaigns sent during a specific marketing period or seasonal promotion.
Limit your selections: While there is no hard limit to the number of mailings you can select, adding too many campaigns can clutter the graph and make it difficult to read. For the clearest view, we recommend selecting 2 to 4 mailings at a time.
Compare like-with-like: For the most meaningful insights, choose mailings with similar audience types, send times, or goals. For example, compare multiple newsletters or multiple promotional offers separately rather than mixing them together.
Customize your view: Take advantage of the Choose Fields option to prioritize metrics that align with your current analysis needs, such as focusing on Clicks for e-commerce or Opens for brand awareness campaigns.
A/B Testing: Easily compare the results of A/B test variations by selecting the relevant campaigns side-by-side.
Monthly Review: Analyze the performance of all newsletters sent in a month to identify trends in engagement.
Strategy Refinement: Evaluate how different subject lines, FROM names, or send times impact audience engagement to refine future campaign strategies.
